Frequently asked questions
Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.
Can multi-sport athletes participate in SWVC?
Yes, absolutely! We encourage all of our players to participate any/every sport that they have the opportunity to! We have a conversation at our commitment night regarding player availability to accommodate other sports/prior commitments the best we can.
How big of a commitment is SWVC?
The answer to this question varies. For our NCVA Premier teams, we normally have one tournament monthly. While our NCVA Power teams are entered in weekly tournaments.
When/where is practice?
Practice times/days vary by coach and player availability. Our premier teams aim to practice twice a week for approximately 2 hours each session. Our power teams are weekly/biweekly practices. The location of practices is still TBD, as we are currently looking to open our own location.
How long is a volleyball season?
Our seasons are around 6 months long. We hold tryouts in October and begin practicing in December. The first tournament of the season is in January and ends with Regional Championships in May.
Coaches may also include the Far Western National Qualifier in Reno, NV, as apart of their season.
What does SWVC cost?
Prices vary per season but are considered low in comparison to other clubs in the Sacramento region (Pocket/South Land Park area), as well as national club teams, while still maintaining a competitive amount of training time and tournament entries. Our 2025/2026 Girls' Premier League season cost was $1500/per player.
